NEW WAVE / ACID POP / COLD WAVE

Formed in Brest in 2023, Ventolune is a duo caught between cold wave, rock and techno — somewhere between The Cure, Crystal Castles and Molly Nilsson. Live, the duo moves through synth pop ballads, trip hop builds and acid techno surges. Driven by a nocturnal, slightly unhinged aesthetic, they tackle mental health, grief and power dynamics head-on.

Supported by Le Run ar Puñs, Les Trans Musicales and l'Hydrophone as part of a shared production scheme, Ventolune played L'Ubu (Rennes) in 2025, opening for the Label Charrues night, as well as La Carène (Brest) for Astropolis' Bunker Brestois. In 2026, the duo returned to L'Ubu for a show built around a live video/camera setup — a stage extension of what the band explores in the studio.Their debut EP, Picky Picker / Skin Eater (2026), lays the groundwork for this world.
